Revelation

i have realized that i am not the best blogger in the world. i used to be. actually, i seemed to be a better blogger when my husband and i were apart. now that he is here, i haven't found a way to make time for myself creatively. i guess it is also a matter of space. i am not accustomed to someone always being in my space. it's not a bad thing. i love him. it's just that, it's hard to get into a creative zone (at least for me) around someone i love. i work much better in pure solitude, or public locations.

my good friend, a fellow writer, has inspired me to revisit my blog. she has one too, and i love it. she is also pregnant, and i am soooooo excited for her and her husband. i vicariously live through her pregnancy. at least when i'm ready, i will have some backhand knowledge from one of my peers and not only from my momma. lol! so yeah, i am going to make an attempt to post more often, especially now that the bootleg computer in my classroom is working again. whew, it was a struggle not having it here. i used to do a lot of my posts for my old blog at work. i guess being at work inspires me to write. ahhhh, if only i could write for a living.

tonite is one of the last classes i will ever attend for my masters in teaching! thank the heavens for that one! i have a ten minute presentation. it's pretty simple. i'm presenting a chart that i posted regarding my students' sentiments towards race and identity in the classroom. it's very interesting to read some of their comments. i have learned so much from my students this year, and i must admit that i do love them dearly. yet still, i am ready for summer vacation already. i am EXHAUSTED, mentally and emotionally. i'm thinking of applying for a television internship for the summer, (yes, i still love the tv news world...sigh) but who knows. there are a few opportunities available. we shall see. i miss my husband. i wish i didn't have to wait until 10:00pm to see him. at least this will be the last wednesday night that i come home from my "Teacher as Researcher" class!
GIVE ME MY MASTERS DEGREE!!!!!! YAY :-)

love, peace, & nappiness. until next time!
